Progressive Muscle Relaxation
This exercise can help you reduce stress and tension. It takes a bit more effort than the breathing technique. However, the extra effort can be worth it as many people find that this technique helps them to reduce their stress and anxiety. It can also help you better realise when you are experiencing stress and anxiety as you will be much more able to notice the signs of tension in your body that come with it.
Aim to find a comfortable space, either sitting or lying down. You may choose to go the extra mile for this relaxation; comfy pyjamas, burning a scented candle, dimming the lights! Have fun with making this part of your self-care routine. If you don't have time to amp up the relaxation routine, that's fine too. Using the download, you can use this technique as and when you need it.
